Little League® International, located in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, is the administrative and operational headquarters for Little League Baseball and Softball, the world’s largest non-profit youth sports organization.

Operating nine regional centers, serving millions of children — ages 4 to 16 — and supported by more than one million volunteers throughout the world, Little League also annually operates the Little League International Tournament, the larges elimination tournament in the world.   • Full-Time Positions

    Data Warehouse Specialist, Information Services

    Little League International, South Williamsport, Pa.

    Little League® International (LLI) has an immediate opening in South Williamsport, PA for a full-time DATA WAREHOUSE SPECIALIST reporting to the Director of Information Services.  This position will provide expertise to implement and maintain the databases used by LLI’s various software systems.  He/she will also perform ETL functions to share data between systems, as well as prepare, send, analyze, and report on emails sent through LLI’s email marketing system.  This position operates as part of a team under the mentorship of the Director of Information Services.  Individuals who desire to work for a company with 75+ years of history supporting youth baseball and softball and who enjoy facing an evolving set of technical challenges should apply.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field plus a minimum of three years’ work experience with SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, ETL, and relational database best practices.  Four or more years of work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.  Candidates should also possess a strong working knowledge of email marketing services such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, business intelligence and analytics, HTML and web and social media standards.  Intermediate knowledge of computer hardware, networks, mainframe architecture, and Microsoft Office is also required.

    The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following:  the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other data privacy regulations, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), basic accounting principles, and the IBM eServer iSeries (AS/400) platform.  A willingness to learn these skills both on the job and independently is a must to be successful in this position.

    Candidates must be customer-service focused, as this position will occasionally require providing guidance and assistance to internal and external users, both in-person and by phone.  Strong communication and organizational skills are also required, with this person being a member of several interdepartmental project teams.

    While most work is done during normal business hours, occasional peaks in workload and special events such as the Little League® World Series may require working in the evenings and on weekends.  Occasional (< 5%) travel may be required.

    Compensation is commensurate with experience.

  • Internship Positions

    Little League International offers a semester-long internship program in a variety of different areas for college students to gain invaluable experience each year. Positions are available in both the spring and summer semester and are available in a variety of different areas of expertise.

    All of Little League International’s internship positions are 35-hour/week, full-time/paid positions ($8/hour), and based in Williamsport and typically run for 12 to 15 weeks. Positions vary based on time of year and availability, and interested students are encouraged to contact internships@LittleLeague.org to inquire about open positions. In addition, housing opportunities may be available. Interns looking to work during the Summer Semester must be available to work during the month of August for the Little League Baseball World Series. Many of Little League’s previous interns have gone on to careers in Major League Baseball, College Athletic Programs, and more. Internships may also be taken for college credit.

    Little League International works with colleges/universities to partner in this effort for semester-long interns. Little League International is committed to providing a welcoming atmosphere where committed students can get a hands-on, real world, practical experience in a variety of different fields at one of the world’s largest and most revered sporting events. All individuals/student placement is contingent on criminal background check.

    Internship Areas:

    Digital Media:

    Reporting to the Director of Digital Media, successful candidates will aid in executing Little League’s overall digital strategy with an emphasis on enterprise social media. Position may also include maintaining websites, producing videos, and more.

    Graphic Design:

    Reporting to Little League’s Graphic Designers, successful candidates will assist in design projects, social media graphics, print shop projects, administrative tasks, and other daily tasks as assigned.

    Marketing/Sponsorship:

    Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing, successful candidates will aid in managing day-to-day client relations with Little League’s national partners with a heavy emphasis on event activation management, while assisting with corporate brand strategy.

    Media Relations:

    Reporting to the Director of Media Relations, successful candidates will assist in writing projects, research projects, media relations, administrative tasks, and other daily tasks as assigned.

    Merchandising:

    Reporting to the Retail Store and Customer Service Manager, successful candidates will aid with customer service, product displays, merchandising, scheduling, and inventory control to help maximize retail sales, revenues and operational efficiencies while assuring a quality fan and customer experience.

    Video Highlights:

    Reporting to the Director of Digital Media, successful candidates will assist the digital media team responsible for executing Little League’s video highlights management efforts leading up to and supporting the various 2019 Little League® World Series events.

    Video Production:

    Successful applicants will report to the Multimedia Producer/Editor and assist the digital media team responsible for executing Little League’s video efforts leading up to and supporting the various Little League World Series events.

    Website Development:

    Reporting to the Senior Manager of Digital Media, successful candidates will assist in maintaining and updating content on all of Little League’s web platforms, as well as assist in newsletter and email creation.

    Landscaping:

    Successful candidates will assist Landscaper to coordinate and perform daily tasks, assist in caring for lawns and shrubs, mowing, pruning, trimming, planting, installation and other general landscaping functions.

    Coach and Counselor Positions

    • Ability to interact and work with children and have FUN.
    • Good communication skills
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as well as stand, stoop and bend for long periods of time.
    • Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and rain.
    • Teaching baseball skills to players.
    • Coach games against the other camp teams.
    • Responsible for team of 12-14 players during the week-long camp.
    • Supervise recreational camp activities such as swimming, whiffle ball, basketball and rec time.
    • All camp employees are provided with comfortable accommodations with sleeping quarters separate from the players.
    • Salary plus meals, laundry, towels, and bed linens.
    • Camp sessions run from Sunday afternoon through the following Friday morning.
    • Transportation is not provided.

    Counselor Position Qualifications, Responsibilities and Benefits:
