Little League® International, located in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, is the administrative and operational headquarters for Little League Baseball and Softball, the world’s largest non-profit youth sports organization.

Operating nine regional centers, serving millions of children — ages 4 to 16 — and supported by more than one million volunteers throughout the world, Little League also annually operates the Little League International Tournament, the larges elimination tournament in the world. Each summer seven World Series Champions are crowned (4 baseball, and three softball).

  • World Series Positions

    Little League International is hiring temporary positons for the Little League World Series.  To be considered, applicants MUST:

    • Be at least 16 years of age (with work permit if under 18), unless otherwise noted
    • Be able to stand, stoop, bend for long periods of time
    • Have reliable transportation
    • Live within commuting distance of South Williamsport, Pennsylvania
    • Pass all required background checks
    • Be available from August 16-26, 2018 for most days

    Housekeeping/Laundry

    Must be able to bend, stoop and stand for long periods of time; will assist in all aspects of cleaning of dormitories and buildings, as well as washing bedding and linens.  Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.

    Lifeguards

    Must have current lifeguarding and CPR certifications, experience preferred.

    Official Store Staff

    Prior retail experience preferred, excellent customer service and communication skills, math skills, be able to bend, stoop, stand for long periods, and lift up to 40 lbs. Flexible hours are a must!

    Museum Staff

    Excellent customer service and communication skills, public speaking experience preferred, cashier experience preferred, ticketing, crowd flow/control.

    Guest Services/Customer Service

    Must have excellent customer service skills, be able to work outside under a tent, be able to sit and stand for long periods of time, ability to type accurately 60 WPM, and proficient understanding of technology (computers and cell phone).

    Ushers

    Responsibilities include serving as a resource to guests regarding the facility and events, checking tickets for seat location, and crowd control and maintaining order in the stadiums.  Ability to work with others and take direction.  Excellent customer service and communication skills, be able to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and rain, be able to stand for long periods of time.

    Event Staff

    Individuals should have some knowledge of safety and/or willing to learn; have the ability to work with others and take direction.  Applicants must be 18 years old and able to work a flexible 8-hour shift.   • Part-Time Positions

    Marketing

    Little League International, South Williamsport, P.A.

    Position runs June 1, 2018 through August 27th, 2018 and is 20-40 hours per week, Monday – Friday including weekends during August.  Applicants must be 18 years or older, live within commuting distance and have a valid driver’s license.  Applicant would be working as part of a team, focused on providing support to the sponsorship and marketing department and preparing the Little League complex for the Little League Baseball World Series in August.  The position focuses on executing daily tasks such as tracking shipments and inventory, hanging signage and organizing marketing and sponsor assets in preparation for the event.  Event experience a plus but not required.  Must be able to lift 50 pounds and able to stand for long periods of time.  Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office are required, along with a hard work ethic and dedication to being a team player.

  • Internship Positions

    Little League has internship opportunities available throughout certain times of the year. Participants have the chance to experience one of the most unique learning environments in a world-renowned non-profit youth sports organization. Our staff is willing to assist and mentor those individuals with a serious desire to further their studies and achieve their career goals.

    There are several departments within Little League Baseball that offer internship opportunities. A list of each department can be found below. Based on an applicant’s stated interest, course of study, experience, qualifications, and letter of recommendations from college professors and/or references, we will consider all college junior and seniors. Internships can be for credit and/or paid an hourly wage. Most internships are from mid-May to end of August. Room and Board are the responsibility of the intern with the exception of Sports Turf Management & Landscaping.     Coach and Counselor Positions

    Coaching Position Qualifications, Responsibilities and Benefits:

    • Baseball playing experience, required.
    • Ability to interact and work with children and have FUN.
    • Good communication skills
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as well as stand, stoop and bend for long periods of time.
    • Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and rain.
    • Teaching baseball skills to players.
    • Coach games against the other camp teams.
    • Responsible for team of 12-14 players during the week-long camp.
    • Supervise recreational camp activities such as swimming, whiffle ball, basketball and rec time.
    • All camp employees are provided with comfortable accommodations with sleeping quarters separate from the players.
    • Salary plus meals, laundry, towels, and bed linens.
    • Camp sessions run from Sunday afternoon through the following Friday morning.
    • Transportation is not provided.

    Counselor Position Qualifications, Responsibilities and Benefits:

    • Baseball playing experience, preferred
    • Ability to interact and work with children and have FUN.

    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as well as stand, stoop and bend for long periods of time.

    • Assist coach in teaching baseball skills to players.
    • Assist Coach during games against other camp teams.
    • Responsible for team of 12-14 players during the week-long camp.
    • Help supervise recreational camp activities such as swimming, whiffle ball, basketball, and rec time.
    • All camp employees are provided with comfortable accommodations with sleeping quarters separate from the players.
    • Salary plus meals, laundry, towels and linens.
    • Camp sessions run from Sunday afternoon through the following Friday morning.
    • Transportation is not provided.
