    Graphic Designer

    Little League International, South Williamsport, Pa.

    The Little League Graphics Team supports the efforts of Little League International through the design and printing of materials to inform, educate, and entertain Little League’s volunteers and players.

    To support our efforts, Little League has an immediate opening for a full-time Graphic Designer at our headquarters in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. This position will report to the Senior Director of Communications and work closely with Little League’s creative team and Communications Department.

    The Graphic Designer will be responsible for graphic design and print shop operations for Little League. The preferred candidate possesses a degree in graphic design, 2 to 3 years of professional experience in a graphic design position, has proven expertise in utilizing Adobe Creative Cloud in a professional environment, is a creative thinker, and a motivated team player. The individual will be tasked to work collaboratively across the Little League organization to create effective and impactful visual communications products, including publications, promotional items, educational materials, signage, social media graphics, presentations, logos, and more. The individual will manage print shop functionalities, work with outside vendors, and interact with Little League’s millions of volunteers in support of the organization’s mission.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Create a variety of print and digital products, visual elements, collateral pieces, and publications in support of Little League’s various initiatives, including advertisements, flyers, reports, books and rulebooks, logos, banners, posters, signs, presentations, and other materials while maintaining brand consistency across all platforms to meet our desired vision and mission.
    • Work closely with all departments for advertising and promotions, public relations, marketing needs, league development, volunteer support, educational materials, and other needs for both local volunteers and Little League World Series and tournament events.
    • Brainstorm new concepts, pitch ideas/projects, and collaborate closely with the the creative team, communcications department, and organization as a whole.
    • Manage Little League’s print shop operations by overseeing the physical printing and binding of in-house products to ensure a high-quality, professional finished product.
    • Keep projects on track and deliver high-quality, error-free products on time and on budget.
    • Manage and enhance Little League’s brand guide and ensure protection of brand identity through effective communication across departments
    • Keep up to date with the latest software and computer technologies for the field of graphic design and desktop publishing
    • Represent Little League Baseball and Softball with outside vendors of supplies and machinery.

    Preferred candidates will demonstrate the following:

    • Expertise with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat)
    • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
    • Knowledge of printing and print shop functionalities
    • Knowledge of design and photo best practices for print, digital, and social media, including additional design software
    • Knowledge of video and animation software and best practices is beneficial

    Video Coordinator

    Little League International, South Williamsport, Pa.

    Step up to the plate! Little League is looking for a talented, motivated, visual storyteller to join our digital team and help continue the expanding video efforts of the world’s largest youth sports organization.

    In recent years, Little League has produced video features, documentary style series, educational content, and overseen the production of thousands of highlights for our seven World Series events, telling the stories of our program and the communities involved.

    To add to this success, we have an immediate, full-time opening for a Video Coordinator at our headquarters in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. This position will report to the Multimedia Producer/Editor.

    The Video Coordinator will be responsible for capturing, editing, and producing content for Little League. The preferred candidate possesses 2-3 years of relevant sports or high profile-brand experience. The ability to execute in multiple work environments to deliver timely content during peak seasonal windows across the editorial calendar is a must.

    Preferred fields of study include: Film/Video, Broadcast Journalism, Media Production and other related fields.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Shoot, edit and otherwise create video content for Little League digital platforms in support of the organization’s educational, entertainment, and operational goals including
      • Little League University
      • Enterprise storytelling
      • Video scoreboards
    • Pre-, post-, and on-site production assistance
    • Creating still and animated graphics for use on social media
    • Organizing, archiving and updating media files
    • Uploading, tagging, and publishing clips on LittleLeague.org/Videos
    • Spot-checking video for functionality and performance

    Preferred candidates will demonstrate the following:

    • Advanced experience with Adobe Premiere Pro CC
    • Familiarity with baseball and softball – basic rules and gameplay, game situations, noteworthy happenings, etc.
    • Working knowledge of DSLR cameras for video, as well as microphones and audio recording devices
    • Strong underlying skills: conducting interviews, field production, shot composition, lighting, exposure, and more
    • Working knowledge of video and content management systems for digital platforms
    • Basic experience with Adobe After Effects
    • Demonstrated writing skills and experience with Adobe Photoshop are a plus
    • Initiative to stay updated on modern digital trends and video distribution strategies

    Facilities Manager

    Waco, Texas

    Little League International is looking for a Full-Time Facilities Manager for our Waco, Texas location.  Under the direction of the Regional Director, we are looking for a highly reliable hands-on facilities manager who is responsible for general upkeep and repair of buildings and grounds and providing an optimal and safe environment for occupants and guests. The position will wear many hats, but is primarily responsible for hands-on interior and exterior building maintenance, cleanliness, and equipment upkeep and repair.  Knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, painting, drywall, masonry, and light electrical a plus. This position also includes overseeing outside contractors, inventory management, as well as working with the Regional Director on capital project improvements to the facility.

    REQUIRED:
    Candidate must have a minimum of 3-5 years’ previous verifiable work experience in building maintenance. Must be highly organized and have previous project management experience. Must be energetic, have a team attitude, and be willing to do any maintenance job no matter how big or small. Must be able to effectively supervise both volunteers or small seasonal staff or work independently with accountability for reaching deadlines. Valid driver’s license required with clean driving record.  Position requires bending, stooping, standing for long periods, ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and working indoors and outdoors regardless of weather.  Must be able to pass an extensive background check.  Must live within commuting distance of WACO, TEXAS or be willing to relocate.   Salary commensurate with experience and attractive full time benefits package.

    Assistant Director of U.S. Central Region

    Carmel, Indiana

    This full-time position is responsible for assisting the Director of the Central Region in the operation of the Regional Center while administering the Little League Program in the Central Region of the U.S.  This includes providing service and support for league and district operations, in addition to coordinating tournament operations and schedules.  The Assistant Director will work to develop the Little League program through strong leadership, strategic planning and clear expectations in a professional environment of teamwork and collaboration.

    Potential candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Administration, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field and a background in baseball/softball and a love of the game!  A minimum of two years relevant verifiable experience in an educational field, event management, working for a non-profit, and/or management of staff/volunteers.  Knowledge of Little League rules and regulations and supervisory experience preferred.  Must have a valid driver’s license, pass an extensive background check, have superior professional communications skills, be articulate and diplomatic, proficient computer skills with experience in MS Office, problem-solving skills, proven leadership skills, and experience in public speaking.  Must live within commuting distance of Carmel, Indiana or be willing to relocate.  This position is not eligible for telecommuting.

    Data Warehouse Specialist, Information Services

    Little League International, South Williamsport, Pa.

    Little League® International (LLI) has an immediate opening in South Williamsport, PA for a full-time DATA WAREHOUSE SPECIALIST reporting to the Director of Information Services.  This position will provide expertise to implement and maintain the databases used by LLI’s various software systems.  He/she will also perform ETL functions to share data between systems, as well as prepare, send, analyze, and report on emails sent through LLI’s email marketing system.  This position operates as part of a team under the mentorship of the Director of Information Services.  Individuals who desire to work for a company with 75+ years of history supporting youth baseball and softball and who enjoy facing an evolving set of technical challenges should apply.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field plus a minimum of three years’ work experience with SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, ETL, and relational database best practices.  Four or more years of work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.  Candidates should also possess a strong working knowledge of email marketing services such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, business intelligence and analytics, HTML and web and social media standards.  Intermediate knowledge of computer hardware, networks, mainframe architecture, and Microsoft Office is also required.

    The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following:  the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other data privacy regulations, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), basic accounting principles, and the IBM eServer iSeries (AS/400) platform.  A willingness to learn these skills both on the job and independently is a must to be successful in this position.

    Candidates must be customer-service focused, as this position will occasionally require providing guidance and assistance to internal and external users, both in-person and by phone.  Strong communication and organizational skills are also required, with this person being a member of several interdepartmental project teams.

    While most work is done during normal business hours, occasional peaks in workload and special events such as the Little League® World Series may require working in the evenings and on weekends.  Occasional (< 5%) travel may be required.

    Seasonal Merchandise Positions

    Little League International has seasonal summer openings in our Merchandise department.  This position will assist with preparing retail merchandise for sale.  Duties include counting and folding items, stocking shelves, lifting and moving boxes.  Candidates must have an attention to detail, be able to stand, stoop, and bend for long periods of time and be able to lift up to 40 lbs.  Candidates must be able to pass required background checks.

    Production Artist

    Responsibilities include:

  • Internship Positions

    Little League International offers a semester-long internship program in a variety of different areas for college students to gain invaluable experience each year. Positions are available in both the spring and summer semester and are available in a variety of different areas of expertise.

    All of Little League International’s internship positions are 35-hour/week, full-time/paid positions ($8/hour), and based in Williamsport and typically run for 12 to 15 weeks. Positions vary based on time of year and availability, and interested students are encouraged to contact internships@LittleLeague.org to inquire about open positions. In addition, housing opportunities may be available. Interns looking to work during the Summer Semester must be available to work during the month of August for the Little League Baseball World Series. Many of Little League’s previous interns have gone on to careers in Major League Baseball, College Athletic Programs, and more. Internships may also be taken for college credit.

    Little League International works with colleges/universities to partner in this effort for semester-long interns. Little League International is committed to providing a welcoming atmosphere where committed students can get a hands-on, real world, practical experience in a variety of different fields at one of the world’s largest and most revered sporting events.     Internship Areas:

    Southwest Region – Waco, Texas (Summer):

    Reporting to the Southwest Regional Director and working in conjunction with the Southwest Regional staff the successful candidate will assist in administration, marketing, sponsorship, merchandise, media and tournament operations as well as other daily tasks as assigned. The internship will run from May through August and will typically follow normal business hours with exceptions during the Little League® Baseball and Softball Southwest Regional Tournament as a precursor to the Little League® World Series.

    Digital Media:

    Reporting to the Director of Digital Media, successful candidates will aid in executing Little League’s overall digital strategy with an emphasis on enterprise social media. Position may also include maintaining websites, producing videos, and more.

    Graphic Design:

    Reporting to Little League’s Graphic Designers, successful candidates will assist in design projects, social media graphics, print shop projects, administrative tasks, and other daily tasks as assigned.

    Marketing/Sponsorship:

    Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing, successful candidates will aid in managing day-to-day client relations with Little League’s national partners with a heavy emphasis on event activation management, while assisting with corporate brand strategy.
