Nearly 100 Umpires Selected to Serve at 2026 Little League® World Series Events

Nearly 100 dedicated Little League® umpires have received the call that hundreds of thousands only dream of, earning the honor to be selected to umpire at one of the seven Little League World Series Tournaments this summer.

“On behalf of all of us at Little League and everyone involved with the selection process, we are proud to announce this year’s selections and congratulate them on this well-deserved achievement as they represent the dedicated men and women who step up to serve as local league umpires in communities all around the world,” said Stu Hartenstein, Little League Director of Umpire Development and Operations. “Additionally, after a highly successful year bringing Crew Chiefs to all seven World Series events in 2025, we are excited to once again provide that experience as we look to assist with mentorship, education, and growth of our umpires throughout their World Series experience.”

The selection process to become a World Series umpire is lengthy and rigorous and has become an honor that only a select group has gone on to achieve. To be eligible to volunteer in a Little League World Series event, an umpire must first have competed in a Region Tournament event. After that experience is completed, the process for selection to work a World Series begins with an application submitted by each umpire through the Umpire Registry. Once received, the District Administrator may also provide comments to the Selection Committee for review.

Additionally, umpires may choose to participate in a Tournament Umpire Identification Camp, held in person at one of Little League’s five U.S. Region locations to help assess their skills and receive additional feedback. The Little League International Selection Committee then considers all nominated umpires in coordination with each of its nine Region offices before selecting high-performing umpires to officiate each postseason tournament. All nominated umpires are then screened one final time by the Little League International Selection Committee and Region staff before their official selection to umpire in a Little League World Series tournament.

Appointment as a member of the volunteer umpiring crew for a World Series is the highest honor that Little League can bestow on an umpire. To support their efforts, Little League International provides each of the selected umpires ith a travel stipend to help offset the costs to attend their respective World Series events.

Below is the listing of the umpires who will take the field for each of the seven World Series events this summer, along with the city/state/country that they represent. Crew Chiefs will be designated with an asterisk (*):
