2025 Little League® Girls with Game Experience Brings College and Youth Athletes Together for Day of Fun

For the fourth-straight year, the Little League® Girls with Game Experience brought Division I college athletes and youth softball players together for a day of fun and education at the home of the Little League Baseball® World Series.

“Every year, the event grows more and more, bringing new opportunities to our youth participants. Not only did they get to develop their skills with collegiate athletes, but they also got to sit down with AUSL superstar Tori Vidales and 2025 LLSWS champion, Reagan Bills, to learn about the importance of confidence and set goals for their futures,” said Ashlea Miller, Little League Director of Softball Development. “We are so grateful for the four college programs that travel to make this experience possible and for our softball players and their families who came out to be part of this historic Girls with Game Experience.”

Softball Clinic

This year’s event welcomed approximately 150 softball players (ages 9-12) for a three-hour clinic, featuring representatives from four college softball programs as clinicians. These clinicians helped teach the fundamentals of on-field skills and shared their own softball journeys with the youth athletes.

“Softball is growing. To bring this many young girls into this environment with older girls on different levels, whether that is pro softball, college softball, or Little League softball, really shows the impact that we can have in sports, and that women can have in the sports realm,” said Army Shortstop, Taylor Brown. “Bringing them out to such a big platform like Williamsport, I hope it empowers them to recognize that they can have an impact on the field and be on as big a stage as us or professional softball.”

Confidence Session with AUSL athlete, Tori Vidales, and LLSWS Champion, Reagan Bills

During the morning clinic, the participants had the opportunity to sit down with Athletes Unlimited Softball League outfielder Tori Vidales, 2025 Little League Softball World Series champion Reagan Bills, and college athletes to build achievable goals and discuss the importance of confidence both on and off the field. Each group participated in two guided activities: Girls with Goals and writing a note to their future self to read when they feel the need for extra encouragement.

College Softball Doubleheader

After a fun-filled day of education and new friendships, the day ended with a Division I College Softball doubleheader between Army West Point and the University of Maryland, followed by Penn State University and the University of Virginia. Before the first game, Vidales threw out the ceremonial first pitch. She was followed by Mid-Atlantic teammates Reagan Bills and Mara Keefe, who threw the ceremonial first pitch before the second game of the day. After each game, youth participants and fans had the opportunity to meet the college superstars.

The unique, all-day event is named in celebration of the Little League Girls with Game initiative, which was launched in 2019 to honor all the girls and women who have made the Little League program what it is today and those who inspire the future generation of female participants at every level. From written stories and feature videos to inspiring quotes and photos across all its digital media platforms, the Girls with Game initiative celebrates the memorable moments, exciting events, and inspiring individuals throughout the Little League Baseball and Softball program all year long.
