Little League® International mourns the passing of Kevin Whitaker, a longtime volunteer umpire who was the home plate umpire in the 2016 Little League Baseball® Southwest Region championship Game and officiated in the 2019 LLB® Southwest Region Tournament. He was 51.
Mr. Whitaker, a native of Beaumont, Texas, graduated from Vidor (Texas) High School and Lamar University (Beaumont).
Preceded in death by his sister, Sharon; Mr. Whitaker is survived by his wife, Jennifer; sons, Kevin, Preston, and Aaron; daughter, Madeline; brother, David; and parents, George and Madeline.
