Seth Hoover Joins Little League® Team as New Purchasing Assistant

Little League® International is pleased to welcome Seth Hoover as its new Purchasing Assistant at its headquarters in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, effective September 12, 2022.

“We are thrilled to welcome Seth to our team here in Williamsport as we get our leagues ready to head into the 2023 season,” said Nancy Grove, Little League Materials Management Director. “Seth’s industry experience, combined with his baseball background and knowledge of the Williamsport area will be a great asset to our team and we look forward to bringing his skills to help us support our organization, and most importantly, our local leagues.”

Mr. Hoover joins the Little League team after most recently serving as the Junior Buyer for Playworld/Playpower in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. Prior to that role, he served as a material handler, operations coordinator, and EHS Specialist for Playworld for nearly six years. A 2004 graduate of Shippensburg University with a degree in communications/journalism emphasized around Print Media and Art, Mr. Hoover also has experience as a live-in caregiver and a photojournalist for The Daily Item in Sunbury, Pennsylvania.

“Having played more than 20 years of organized baseball on a variety of different levels, being a part of the Little League organization is a dream come true,” said Mr. Hoover. “It is so nice to know that I will have a hand in the magic that is brought to South Williamsport, and around the world, every year.”

In this role, Mr. Hoover will be responsible for processing purchase requisitions submitted by various departments and regions, assisting with selection and coordination of souvenir products to volunteer World Series directors, and tracking fulfillment of all purchase orders to ensure the delivery of desired goods/services are timely and are in correct pricing/quantities without sacrificing quality in meeting the organization’s needs. Additionally, he will be involved with evaluating suppliers, reviewing the quality of products, and negotiating contracts with potential vendors for effective organizational operations.
