For the second year in a row, On Field LLS Little League from Repentigny, Quebec, will represent Canada at the 2025 Little League Softball® World Series, Presented by DICK’S Sporting Goods, in Greenville, North Carolina.
In the region championship game against Capital Region LL from Alberta, Capital Region LL took the lead with a double to center field. Moments later, in the bottom of the sixth, the girls from Repentigny walked it off to win the game 5-4. On Field LLS tallied 38 runs over the course of five games and will look to carry that momentum to Greenville with hopes of improving on their 2024 tournament run.
Canada will kick off the international tournament run in the Orange Bracket, facing off against Prague (Czechia) Little League – representing the Europe-Africa Region – in Game 3 at 4 p.m. ET on Sunday, August 3, airing on ESPN+.
Since 2018, participation in the Little League Softball® program has grown by approximately 8%, driven by the ongoing support of official partners, the celebration of the Little League Girls with Game Initiative, expanded visibility on ESPN platforms each summer, and a strengthening partnership with Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL).
The 2025 LLSWS is set to take place from August 3-10 in Greenville, North Carolina. The event will include a doubleheader at East Carolina University on Wednesday, August 6.
