Little League® International is pleased to announce the elevation of Lisa Burkett to its Housekeeping Supervisor, effective as of March 13, 2023.
“We are proud to give Lisa this great opportunity to supervise our housekeeping operations and provide all our guests with a positive experience when they visit Williamsport, no matter what time of year it is,” said John Swisher, Little League Director of Facilities. “Lisa’s hard work and dedication to this organization has been evident long before her time as a full-time staff member and we look forward to seeing her continue to step up and lead in her new role as Housekeeping Supervisor.”
After initially getting involved with the Little League program as a South Williamsport Area School District Job Coach to provide hands-on kitchen work experience for learning support students, Mrs. Burkett joined the Little League kitchen staff to work part-time in the Dining Hall during the World Series and other summer activities for five years. In 2017, she left the school district and joined the Little League team as a full-time Kitchen Aide. Following the pandemic, Mrs. Burkett joined the housekeeping staff in 2021 where she has committed to maintaining a clean environment for staff, volunteers, participants, and visitors while more importantly providing a great experience for all those who enter the Little League International Complex.
“I am honored to have this opportunity and thankful to everyone at Little League for providing me with this new leadership position,” said Mrs. Burkett. “A first impression can have a lasting impact on someone visiting our facility and I look forward to ensuring every guest, staff member, business partner, fan, and most importantly the players, enjoy every moment they spend on our complex no matter how long their stay may be.”
In her new role as Housekeeping Supervisor, Mrs. Burkett will provide hands-on, daily cleaning of the entire Little League International Complex while providing supervision and oversight of daily housekeeping operations to ensure its operations run efficiently while providing excellent employee and guest satisfaction and quality facilities.
