In honor of the first day of National Little League® Week (June 8-14), an officially recognized celebration dating back to 1959 when President Dwight D. Eisenhower made the declaration, Little League International is proud to announce the launch of its enhanced Philanthropy Campaign – “Rally for Little League.”
Building off the initial Text to Donate efforts launched in 2025, the Rally for Little League campaign serves as the creative expression of Little League’s broader fundraising strategy, unifying messaging across all audiences to raise awareness and funds to support the unique experience that only Little League can offer.
“What sets Little League apart from other youth baseball and softball programs is that we are a mission-driven nonprofit,” said Patrick Wilson, Little League President and CEO. “The funds we generate help remove barriers and create access, providing more kids with the opportunity to experience the Little League program, and this campaign will help us show the direct impact that our supporters can provide to the children and communities we support all around the world each year.”

As a mission-driven nonprofit, Little League uses its revenues to remove barriers and create access and opportunities for kids to experience its industry-leading baseball and softball program each year. With approximately two million children and a million volunteers around the world supporting its mission, some of the investments Little League currently makes include:
- $18 million to operate its Region and World Seven World Series Tournaments ($8 million for LLBWS alone).
- Covering the housing, travel for international and domestic teams, and accommodations for all teams who compete at all seven World Series tournaments, with travel costing approximately $20-40K per team.
- Working with its Official Sponsors to provide equipment, uniform, and gear to World Series participants, with an estimated annual value of $1.8 million.
- More than $475K in grant contributions to support Region and World Series Host Committees and provide a positive tournament experience.
- Approximately $311K in mileage reimbursement support for teams advancing to Region Tournaments.
- Providing a continued investment into the Little League Softball program and Girls with Game Initiative, resulting in all 22 games of the 2026 LLSWS set to air on ESPN linear networks.
- More than $8.2 million has been awarded as part of the T-Mobile Little League Call Up Grant, helping cover registration fees for more than 82,000 children since it launched in 2020.
- Disaster relief funding provided to local leagues in need, most recently supporting Ingram (Texas) Little League with a $25,000 grant to support their flood recovery efforts.
- Offering a free Rulebook App (92K Total Downloads in 2025, including Spanish translation services, totaling $125K in value) as well as free training for volunteers (302K total course completions in 2025).
- Providing125 Free Background Checks Per League, totaling more than $375K in savings for our leagues in 2025
Throughout the course of the 2025 season, Little League’s philanthropic efforts saw more than $250K received from donors which will be provided back to support local leagues, including 37% of donations being placed in honor and/or memory of individuals who passed away during that year. The investment goes beyond just that of the Little League program, as well, with Major League Baseball pledging all proceeds from its 2025 Winter Meetings Charity Auction to the Little League Disaster Relief Fund, totaling nearly $200K to support the efforts.
In 2025, Little League International also earned its Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency from Candid.org, a nationally recognized designation earned by nonprofits that share key organizational information on Candid, the world’s largest nonprofit database.
