Little League® International Remembers Canada’s New Brunswick District 1 Administrator Victor Fitzgerald

Little League® International mourns the passing of Victor Fitzgerald, District 1 Administrator from New Brunswick, Canada. He was 70.

A native of Saint John, Mr. Fitzgerald spent more than 40 years as a Little League volunteer, serving as coach and Board member in Lancaster Little League, before his election as District 1 Administrator.

Employed by the Saint John Recreation Department for 35 years, Mr. Fitzgerald, retired in 2001. He later served a three-year term on the city’s Common Council. He also volunteered as Director of the Somerset Community Centre, and was involved with the North End Food Bank.

Mr. Fitzgerald is survived by his wife, Kaye; step-sons Dale Parker, Rene Parker, Kendall Parker, and James Eskins; step-daughters Karen Parker, Lana McKinney, and Michelle Parker; brothers Eugene and Clark; sisters June Lavin, Heather McLeod, and Faith Kingston; sister-in-law Donna Fitzgerald; numerous step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.

Besides his parents, Mr. Fitzgerald was predeceased by his step-son Kerry Parker and brothers Larry, Terry, and Gordon.
