Little League® International Mourns the Passing of James Nolan, New York District 23 Administrator

Little League® International mourns the passing of James Nolan, New York District 23 Administrator. He was 72.

Mr. Nolan was a retired schoolteacher from The Bronx, New York, who held a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and Masters degree in Spanish.

A Little League volunteer for 48 years, with 16 of those years as District Administrator, Mr. Nolan began his service to the program as a coach in the Inwood-Manhattan Little League. He spent two seasons as a coach and volunteered 35 years as a team manager. He was later elected League President and held that position for 12 years before his election as D.A. in 1998.

In 1992, Mr. Nolan was chosen as Volunteer of the Year by the state of New York.

Mr. Nolan was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond, and Catherine Nolan.
