Little League® International Honors the Life and Memory of Don Goodman, Former California District 35 Administrator and Long-Time LLBWS Volunteer

Little League® International remembers Don Goodman, former California District 35 Administrator and longtime Little League Baseball® World Series volunteer. He was 83.

A 60-year resident of Cloverdale, California, Mr. Goodman began his service to the Little League program with Cloverdale Little League in 1971 as a coach, and later as, League President. After years of volunteering on the local league level, Mr. Goodman was elected as California District 35 Administrator in 1978. He served in that capacity until 2018.

“We are all saddened by Don’s passing,” said Stephen D. Keener, Little League President and CEO. “He was a big part of our program as well as a valued volunteer leader and was hugely impactful with his annual service to the Little League World Series.”

Each August, beginning 1986, Mr. Goodman traveled to Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and volunteered with the Little League Baseball World Series’ Operations Support Staff. He was a well-known and highly respected Little League World Series volunteer. For his years of service Mr. Goodman was recognized with Little League’s presentation of the 2018 W. Howard Hartman Little League Friendship Award.

Mr. Goodman is survived by his wife of 63 years, Neva; sons, Doug, and Tom; daughter, Nanci; four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
