Little League® International has announced the elevation of Adam Thompson, Assistant Museum Director and Curator, to Director of the World of Little League® Museum, effective as of January 1, 2022.

“The World of Little League Museum helps our organization tell the unique history of the Little League program and nobody is more knowledgeable about our Museum and the program’s background than Adam,” said Elizabeth DiLullo Brown, Little League Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. “We look forward to Adam’s leadership of the museum staff and the future exhibits, education initiatives, and exciting events that the World of Little League Museum will host under his guidance.”

In his new role as director, Mr. Thompson will lead the Museum’s overall strategic efforts, develop new initiatives and strategies to increase visitors, find new ways to educate children both in person and virtually, work with the retail team to help operate the Museum’s Official Store, while also continuing his role as the Museum’s curator. He will report to Brian McClintock, Senior Communications Executive.

“It is an honor to be able to take on the role as Director of the World of Little League Museum and help tell visitors from around the world the history of the Little League story both in person and from the comfort of their own home,” said Mr. Thompson. “I look forward to working with our great team here at Little League International, as well as the tremendous organizations within the museum industry and throughout the Williamsport community, to bring our Museum to the next level and inspire future generations of Little Leaguers and volunteers, while finding innovative ways to spread the World of Little League around the global through virtual opportunities.”

Mr. Thompson joined the Little League staff in 1999 and has been responsible for the strategic layout and development of the Museum’s exhibits and artifacts, curation of new items to display, historical research through the Museum’s archives, operation of both individual and group tours, and more.

A graduate of Lock Haven University with a B.A. in Mass Communications, Mr. Thompson also serves on the Board for both the South Williamsport Education Foundation and the International Sports Heritage Association.
