Dan Klingerman Elected to the Little League® International Board of Directors

Dan Klingerman, owner and operator of The Liberty Group, a private equity holding and investment company in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, has been elected as the newest At-Large Director on the Little League® International Board of Directors.

“As an industry leader in youth sports, we are committed to strengthening our Board of Directors to help us reach our goal of expanding access and opportunities to communities around the world,” said Patrick Wilson, Little League President and CEO. “Dan’s extensive commitment to nonprofit organizations, deep understanding of the Little League brand, and proven leadership skills will play a vital role on our board.”

A former Little Leaguer® himself, Klingerman returned to the diamond as his son’s baseball coach at Loyalsock (Pa.) Little League. The father-son duo shared great moments on the field, including playing in the Pennsylvania District 12 Championship game at the iconic Howard J. Lamade Stadium.

“I have been blessed in more ways than I can count, and as my journey has unfolded, it has become increasingly important to give back to the community where I found my success,” said Klingerman. “Giving back is how we transform personal achievement into something far more meaningful – turning success into significance and creating a lasting impact that reaches well beyond ourselves.”

With his background in operations of owned facilities, primarily geared towards the acquisition, development, and financing of hotels, distribution and warehouse, office, and construction management ventures, Klingerman’s current holdings make him one of the largest real estate holders in the region. A longtime member of the Williamsport community, Klingerman leads The Liberty Group in its effort to grow and revitalize north-central Pennsylvania. Since its establishment in 2001, The Liberty Group has expanded its commercial development portfolio nationwide, with assets in Texas, Colorado, and Missouri, and maintains offices in Williamsport, Pennsylvania; Dallas, Texas; and Naples, Florida.

Klingerman’s goal to give back to his community goes beyond his work with The Liberty Group, which is evident by the several nonprofit organizations, local boards, and committees focused on economic growth and job creation. He currently holds board seats on various nonprofits, including the UPMC Susquehanna Health System, Penn College Foundation, and The First Community Foundation Partnership.

“A mission-driven nonprofit, Little League would not be the organization it is today without the thousands of communities and dedicated individuals around the world supporting our local leagues,” said Steven P. Johnson, Little League International Board of Directors Chairman. “As someone who has experienced the impact of this program first-hand, Dan understands the importance of community and the growth it can see through intentional efforts and teamwork. On behalf of the board, I am honored to welcome Dan as our newest director and look forward to bringing his leadership and expertise to our team.”

Klingerman graduated from Bloomsburg University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and a minor in economics. Currently residing in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Monica, when he’s not working, Klingerman loves spending time with his kids – Paige, Samantha, and Mitchell – and grandkids, rooting for the Dallas Cowboys, watching baseball, and hunting.
