Guayama Softball Little League (Guayama, Puerto Rico) will make its way to Greenville, North Carolina, after taking home the Latin America Region Championship with a 3-0 victory over Brazil’s Cantareira Softball Little League, finishing the event with a 5-0 overall record to punch its ticket to the 2026 Little League Softball® World Series, Presented by DICK’S Sporting Goods (LLSWS).
Puerto Rico has been at the LLSWS a total of 16 times previously, its last trip coming in 2023 when it finished the event with a 2-2 record to reach the Orange Bracket Semifinal game. Of those 16 trips, Guayama has represented Latin America in both 2023 and 2022 with teams out of Maunabo and Coamo representing the country the other 14 times.
With the first-round matchups set, Guayama LL will compete in the Orange Bracket and will play in its first game against the winner of Game 2, either the Mid-Atlantic Region or the Asia-Pacific Region, on Monday, August 3, 2026, at 10 a.m. ET on ESPN2.
The official schedule, first-round pairings, and website information for the 2026 LLSWS have been announced as this year’s LLBWS will take place from August 2-9, 2026. In addition to the fun and excitement of the 2026 Little League Softball World Series, participants at this year’s event will also have the unique experience to spend time with the top athletes in the game as the AUSL heads to Greenville for the 2026 AUSL Pro Game at the LLSWS, Presented by DICK’S Sporting Goods, featuring Olympic gold medalists Natasha Watley (now an AUSL advisor) and Lisa Fernandez (Utah Talons General Manager) taking the diamond as head coaches.
