Two New Members Selected to Join Board at Little League® International Congress

East and West Regions appoint two new representatives to the Little League® International Board of Directors.

Two new regional representatives to the Little League® International Board of Directors were officially nominated by their peers on Saturday, January 20, during Regional Meetings at the 27th Little League International Congress in New Orleans. Effective with their election at the November 2018 meeting, District Administrators (D.A.) Ken Liesegang (New York District 4) and Jenice Condie (California District 12) will take their seat on the Board as the East and West Region Field Directors, respectively. 

“We are honored to welcome Ken and Jenice as the newest members to the Little League International Board of Directors,” said Hugh E. Tanner, Little League International Board of Directors Chairman. “The valuable input, experience, and understanding that these two individuals will bring from their respective regions will be a tremendous asset to the Board and to Little League Baseball and Softball as a whole.” 

Mr. Liesegang has been a Little League volunteer for more than 25 years, including nine years as a District Administrator. Along with his experience as a D.A., Mr. Liesegang has served in a variety of capacities within the Little League program, including three years as an Assistant District Administrator, three years as a League President, and one year as a team manager.

“It is an absolute honor to represent the East Region as a member of the Board of Directors,” said Mr. Liesegang. “I am thankful to all my fellow District Administrators who have provided me with this opportunity and am looking forward to represent them as a member of the Board for the next four years.” 

Mrs. Condie has been involved with Little League for the last 31 years, including 16 years as a District Administrator. Along with her position as a D.A., Mrs. Condie has served as a member of the Little League International Advisory Board and is a current member of the Western Region Advisory Board. In addition, Mrs. Condie has served in a variety of local league roles, including League President, Treasurer, Secretary, Player Agent, and Team Mom Coordinator.  

“I would like to personally thank the District Administrators throughout the West Region for this distinguished opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors,” said Mrs. Condie. “I am confident and excited to be able to provide insight and information on behalf of the entire West Region, and look forward to the future of our organization these next four years.”

Mr. Liesegang and Mrs. Condie will be replacing Tony Richardson and Bob Toigo for the respective Field Director positions. Both Mr. Liesegang and Mrs. Condie are each eligible to serve four, one-year terms on the Board of Directors.  

“On behalf of the Little League International Board of Directors, I would like to thank Tony and Bob for their service and dedication to the Board and for all their input over the last four years,” said Mr. Tanner. “The accomplishments we have achieved during their time on the Board was evident of the expertise that each of them have provided to our organization.”
