Little League® International has announced the elevation of Sam Ranck to Senior Executive, Strategy, effective September 15, 2026. In this role, Ranck will lead Little League’s organization-wide strategic planning and implementation efforts, helping translate long-term priorities into clear, measurable actions across the organization. Ranck will work closely with the leadership team to establish priorities, align resources, and guide cross-functional initiatives. Ranck will also oversee the team that drives the use of research, data, market insights, and performance measurement to strengthen Little League’s programmatic and organizational offerings. Ranck will also oversee strategic priorities and innovation initiatives, support business partnerships and financial planning, and help ensure Little League remains responsive to the changing needs of constituents and volunteers in Little League, while advancing the organization’s mission.
“Over the years, Sam has demonstrated amazing leadership and determination in building league opportunities, driving strategic initiatives like the Diamond Leader coach training program, partnership programs, and the development of the Challenger Division program. His thoughtful, collaborative approach and deep understanding of Little League make him an integral leader in the organization and a crucial member of our team,” said Liz DiLullo Brown, Little League Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing and Business Relationship Officer. “Sam’s elevation reflects both the tremendous impact he has already made and his ability to help shape the future of the organization. From 2001 – 2007, Ranck worked with the World of Little League® Museum team before stepping into his first full-time role as League Development Manager in 2007 and Director of the Challenger Division in 2008. A decade later, Ranck was named Director of League Development and Challenger Division (2018), where he helped navigate leagues through the pandemic, developed new ways to understand the needs of local leagues and their volunteers, and bring resources like the Diamond Leader Program to life to help educate and support coaches and volunteers. In 2023, he was named Senior Director, Strategy and Development and began his work developing the strategic future of the program.

Throughout my time with the organization, I have seen firsthand the impact our program has on children, families, volunteers, and communities,” said Ranck. “I look forward to working with the senior leadership team and everyone at Little League as we explore new opportunities and develop strategies that will help the program continue to evolve as we provide a space for every athlete to play and develop.”
Ranck is a 2006 graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Technology where he received a B.S. in Business Administration and an A.A.S. in Business Management. A member of the Sigma Beta Delta Business Honor Society, Ranck also served as a Student Ambassador, the Class Representative for the Class of 2006, and Commencement Speaker.
