About MLB’s Pitch Hit & Run
Pitch Hit & Run is a free event for baseball and softball players ages 7 to 14. The goal of the event is to test the athlete’s skills for running, pitching towards a stationary target, and hitting off of a tee into the field of play. Each player receives a score based on how they perform for each of these skills.
Players compete at local competitions and are able to advance to ‘Team Championships’ which are larger events hosted at MLB stadiums across the country. Over the past two years, one of these Team Championships has been hosted in Williamsport on Championship Sunday. Team Championship winners put themselves in position to have the opportunity to advance to compete in the Finals at the MLB World Series in all-expenses paid trip for the athlete and one guardian.
