The players, coaches, and families of the 16 teams at the 2019 Little League Baseball® World Series gathered for a welcome picnic at the Pennsylvania College of Technology in downtown Williamsport, Pa. The players took part in games of cornhole and ping pong while enjoying burgers and hot dogs in a friendly, carefree atmosphere.
While they weren’t playing games or eating food, they took turns signing a large, spray-painted baseball rock. On top of that, five-time Cy Young Award Winner, Hall of Famer, and World Series Champion Randy Johnson stopped by to take pictures with every team and the World Series umpires.
Randy Johnson, a former Little Leaguer ® himself, from Livermore, Calif., was the Grand Marshal for the 15th annual Little League Grand Slam parade.
After the Little Leaguers filled their stomachs and enjoyed meeting each other, they boarded team floats for the annual Little League ® parade and were introduce to the tens of thousands of Little League fans lining the street and thousands more watching on the local ABC affiliate.
