For many years, Little League International has paid for the first 125 free background checks for each local league and district. Those 125 free checks are available through J.D. Palatine (JDP). All background checks must be completed through JDP and will not be accepted through any other providers. JDP has access to more than 685+ million records, including criminal records and sex offender registry records across 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Sports Connect, the official league technology provider of Little League® Baseball and Softball (formally Blue Sombrero), and JDP, the provider of background check screening services for Little League, have integrated their technologies to make the volunteer registration process easier by including the ability to conduct national background checks on local and district volunteers.
