World of Little League® Museum and WVIA Pair Up For Kids’ Day Event on November 17

The World of Little League® Museum and Official Store will be hosting its annual Kids’ Day on Saturday, November 17. Co-hosted by WVIA Public Media, Pittston, and partially funded by a grant administered by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, the event will include arts and crafts, games, interactive experiences, story time, photo opportunities, and a visit from Nature Cat of PBS Kids and Little League’s lovable mascot, Dugout.

Attendance to the Kids’ Day event is free and will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. inside the World of Little League Museum (located at 525 Montgomery Pike, U.S. 15). The museum will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“Kids’ Day is one of the most exciting events we have here at the Museum and I would encourage anyone who hasn’t had a chance to experience it to come out on November 17,” said Lance Van Auken, Little League Vice President and World of Little League Museum Executive Director. “Each year, hundreds of kids have the opportunity to come out and enjoy a memorable day at the Museum and this year’s visitors will get the unique experience to hang out with Nature Cat from PBS Kids.”

In addition to the interactive experiences within the Museum, visitors may enjoy Storytime with Debby the Clubhouse Mom, as well as three meet-and-greet visits with Dugout and Nature Cat. Parents are encouraged to take photos.

“WVIA Public Media is delighted to partner with the World of Little League Museum for Kids’ Day 2018,” said Debby the Clubhouse Mom. “We are proud to partner with such a fine Community and Family Minded Organization that puts children first. This year, Nature Cat from PBS Kids will be our special guest of honor. There will be Arts and Crafts, Story Time, Meet and Greets with Nature Cat, and so much more. Hope to see you at Kids’ Day on Saturday, Nov.17th! Tally Ho!”

Along with Little League and WVIA, nearly 10 other youth service agencies and organizations supporting youth activities or their parents will be in attendance with information tables throughout the museum and activities for the children. Visitors donating a new toy valued at $10 or more to Toys for Tots will receive a complimentary return visit to the Museum.
