Little League® International Remembers Texas District 15 Administrator Edward Cawley

Little League® International mourns the passing of Edward Cawley, Texas District 15 Administrator. He was 88.

Mr. Cawley, a native of Augusta, Ga., and resident of Pearland, Texas, served in a variety of volunteer roles prior to his election as Texas District 15 Administrator. He also represented the Southwestern Region, as a member of the Little League International Board of Directors from 1987-to-1990.

“Ed was one of our most effective and valued Little League volunteer leaders and, more importantly, he was one of the finest people I’ve known in my nearly 40 years with Little League International,” said Stephen D. Keener, Little League President and CEO. “We will miss him dearly.”

An Army veteran, Mr. Cawley earned a degree from Georgia Tech University and worked professionally with the government organization that would become the National Aeronautical and Space Administration (NASA). He was heavily involved with the space program for 32 years. Following his retirement from NASA, Mr. Cawley worked for another six years as a consultant for Lockheed Martin and Boeing Aerospace.

Mr. Cawley is survived by his wife of 66 years, Betty Sorrow Cawley; his children, Edward, Alan, and Judy; four brothers; three sisters; and seven grandchildren.
