Little League® Welcomes David Ashton as New Facilities Technician

Little League® International is pleased to announce the hiring of David Ashton as its newest Facilities Technician, effective September 14, 2026.

“On behalf of the facilities department and the entire organization, we are excited to welcome David to the Little League team in this key technical role,” said John Swisher, Little League Director of Facilities. “David brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will be a tremendous asset to not only our department, but Little League International as a whole.”

In his role as Facilities Technician, Ashton will be responsible for all types of general maintenance, including welding, mechanical, and small engine repairs, as well as running and operating heavy equipment. Ashton will also perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical equipment problems, and all routine HVAC, plumbing, and electrical maintenance across the Little League International Complex.

“For every opportunity, I live by the same mantra,” said Ashton. “Coming together is the beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success. I am looking forward to starting my new journey at Little League International and working with this new team.”

Before joining Little League, Ashton honed his abilities working as a Work Crew Foreman for the Lycoming County Pre-Release Center, where he developed valuable leadership and project-management experience. In the role, he supervised and trained work crews, provided instruction on job responsibilities and workplace skills, and coordinated a variety of projects, including general maintenance, landscaping, snow removal, construction, and more. Ashton also brings experience working as a Maintenance Technician for the Lycoming County Prison, helping troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, maintaining parts and tools, and documenting work orders.

Ashton earned multiple certificates in Technicians, including Masonry, Locksmithing, and Maintenance Management.
