Little League® International Remembers World Series Umpire, Andrew LaTurner

Little League® International mourns the passing of Andrew LaTurner, a longtime Little League Central Region volunteer and umpire, who officiated games in the 2014 Little League Baseball® Intermediate 50/70 World Series in Livermore, California. He was 48.

Mr. LaTurner, a resident of Garrett, Indiana, served as the Umpire-In-Chief for Parchment (Michigan) Little League and was the Michigan District 2 Assistant Umpire-In-Chief. He officiated in several Michigan State Little League Tournaments and in the Little League Central Region Tournament.

A graduate of Dekalb High School and Indiana University, Mr. LaTurner was a claims adjuster for Progressive Insurance from 2002 until his passing.

Mr. LaTurner is survived by his wife, Marcy Foster-LaTurner; sons, Zac Foster and Izac LaTurner; father, Daniel; and stepmother, Peggy; brother, Brett; sister, Megan; three nephews; and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lou.
