Little League® International mourns the passing of Jimmy Coomer, Kentucky Assistant District 3 Administrator. He was 48.
Mr. Coomer, a native of Somerset, Ky., was a volunteer in the Richmond Little League (RLL) for 15 years. At the time of his passing he was a member of the RLL Board of Directors. For several years, Mr. Coomer served on the Kentucky District 3 staff.
In 2007, Mr. Coomer was a member of the host committee for the 25th Little League International convened in Lexington, Ky.
Employed by Toyota Motor Manufacturing in Georgetown, Ky., Mr. Coomer was a group leader. He is survived by his wife, Katherine; parents, Paul and Zula Coomer; daughter, Haley Coomer; son, Drake Coomer; sister, Paula Pleasant; and niece Anna Grace Pleasant.
