Little League® International Mourns the Passing of Craig Sager

Little League® International mourns the passing of legendary sideline reporter, longtime Turner Sports broadcaster, and notable Little League graduate, Craig Sager. He was 65.

Mr. Sager, a graduate of Batavia Little League in Batavia, Ill., in the early 1960’s, was an inspirational figure to many and was honored earlier this year at the ESPYS as the recipient of the Jimmy V Perseverance Award for overcoming great obstacles through perseverance and determination. For the last two years, Mr. Sager has battled acute myeloid leukemia.

Most well-known for his colorful and exuberant suits throughout his 40-year career, Mr. Sager has covered a wide variety of sports including college football, the NFL, the World Series, the Goodwill Games, the Pan Am Games, World Cup soccer, golf, tennis, the Winter and Summer Olympics, and most notably, the NBA.
