Little League® International Honors the Memory of Former Ohio District 3 Administrator Charles Umbaugh, A 50-Year Little League Volunteer

Little League® International remembers the life and commitment of former Ohio District 3 Administrator Charles Umbaugh, who dedicated 50 years to Little League. He was 87.

Mr. Umbaugh, a resident of Barberton, Ohio, was a veteran of the United States Army and past Commander of the Coley (Ohio) chapter of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) 7971.

Volunteering in the Little League program for five decades, Mr. Umbaugh served as a coach and League President, but much of his service was spent at the district level. He was Ohio District 3 Assistant Administrator for 30 years before his election as District Administrator. He served for 21 years as Ohio District 3 Administrator.

Mr. Umbaugh was preceded in death by his wife, Marcella; parents, Charles, Sr., and Melvine; sisters, Jean, and Beatrice; and great-grandson, Jordan. He is survived by sons, Jim, Bill, and Ron; daughters, Debbie, Katie, and Vonnie; 14 grandchildren; 28-great-grandchildren; and one great-great child.
