If the heartbeat of Little League® is its nearly 2.4 million players worldwide, then the backbone is the 1 million volunteers who support them. To honor all who choose to be a part our program, Little League International invites each of its leagues to consider recognizing their own by submitting nominees for the annual awards program.

Each August, the winners travel to Williamsport, Pa., as distinguished guests of Little League Baseball and Softball. Prior to Little League Baseball World Series games, each honoree is recognized on the field in front of thousands of fans at iconic Howard J. Lamade Stadium, home of Little League Baseball® World Series Championship, and recognized on ESPN.

Showcasing the courage, character, and loyalty of Little League’s rich history, the 2015 award recipients came from across the United States and have accomplished great things at their local Little League programs.

The Little League Awards program is currently accepting nominations for the 2016 season. In addition to the Volunteer of the Year, Good Sport Award, Challenger Award, Mom of the Year, and Howard and Gail Paster Little League Urban Initiative Volunteer of the Year, new this year is an award honoring the efforts of volunteers in the Little League Softball® program. Please review the list of awards that Little League presents each year, and consider those individuals in your home league who are deserving of such accolades.

It could be you, or a member of your league, joining us in Williamsport this summer.
