Central Region: League Administration Clinic

This year’s League Administration Clinic focuses on Board Meetings, Safety and the Player Agent. The morning session will be covering board responsibilities, how to run an effective and productive board meeting, etc., including guest speaker Bea Northcott. The afternoon breakout sessions will cover Safety and all aspects of the Player Agent’s responsibility. A member from Little League Risk Management department will be here to cover the Safety breakout session.

Workshop fee includes clinic materials, light breakfast and buffet lunch on Saturday.

About Bea Northcott:

Bea Northcott is president of Triple Impact, LLC, a consulting company specializing in helping nonprofit organizations develop their board and staff capacity. She is a consultant and trainer for Indiana United Ways and has served in a variety of roles for nonprofit organizations, including as a board member, executive director, staff member and consultant.

A graduate of Butler University with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and French, she has a master’s degree in Human Resources Management from Kennedy-Western University and is a graduate of Leadership Johnson County.

  • Lunch: 12 pm – 1 pm
  • Afternoon Session – Risk Management & Player Agent: 1 pm – 4 pm:

A representative from LLI’s Risk Management Department will lead this session, which will discuss the new background check requirement. Insurance coverage will also be explained. The Central Region Safety Coordinator will be available to assist with ASAP plans.

The material presented in this session will provide an in-depth study and explanation of the many duties of the Player Agent. Attendees will review what residency documentation is acceptable and a mock draft will be conducted.
