Little League® International remembers Sylvia Sanders; a long-time volunteer at the Little League Baseball® Western Region Tournaments in San Bernardino, Calif. She was 80.
Mrs. Sanders of North Hills, Calif., was an avid Little League supporter, and was widely known for her collection of Little League pins.
Preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Merle, the Sanders were both active volunteers in Little League’s West Region. Mr. Sanders was a District Administrator in California, and attended several Little League Baseball World Series tournaments, volunteering as a public address announcer.
Mrs. Sanders was an avid fundraiser at the local, district and regional levels. She is survived by sons Craig, Corey, Garth, and Morgan; grandchildren, Casey, Hayley and Shelby; and two brothers, Ira and Sandy. The Sanders were pre-deceased by their daughter, Reneen.
