For the third consecutive year, Gatorade, the Official Sports Performance Beverage of Little League® Baseball and Softball, has provided a unique opportunity for Little League Urban Initiative programs to receive Gatorade Hydration Packs, with additional support from its Fuel Tomorrow initiative. More than 6,400 Little Leaguers® received hydration packs, and 50 leagues received donations as a part of the program. Little League Urban Initiative program.
“The unique opportunity to assist our Urban Initiative program with the longstanding Gatorade Hydration Pack program and direct local league funding through Gatorade’s Fuel Tomorrow initiative plays a crucial role in creating access and experiences for Little Leaguers in under-resourced communities,” said Liz DiLullo Brown, Little League Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing and Business Relationship Officer. “We are proud to work with Gatorade as an official partner and deeply appreciate their commitment to providing additional resources to communities as part of the Gatorade Fuel Tomorrow Initiative.”
Throughout the 2025 regular season, every local league affiliated with the Little League Urban Initiative program was provided with the opportunity to opt in to the Gatorade Hydration Pack Program, which provides 15 Gatorade squeeze bottles (20 oz.) and 45 Gatorade powder sticks (1.23 oz.) to each team within the league at the Coach Pitch Division and above.
The first 50 local Urban Initiative leagues that opted into the program this year received these donations, impacting more than 6,400 Little Leaguers in underserved communities. To go along with the Hydration Packs, Gatorade also included a $1,000 Fuel Tomorrow Community Grant to each league to help with their operational expenses and enhance the experience for the players.
One of the 50 leagues to receive the grant was Frederick (Md.) American Little League, a local league program that has been chartered with Little League dating back to 1954.
“Thank you to Gatorade and Little League for the hydration packs and for the generous donation,” Rick Wilson, Frederick American Little League President. “The grant will be an amazing help for our league to get the kids what they need and to help the parents who are struggling to get their kids what they need to play baseball or softball.”
In 2022, Gatorade established a multi-year $10M commitment to work with organizations across the country to provide access to opportunities in sport for all athletes through programming, resources, and training.
