Little League® International Remembers Louisiana District 1 Administrator Val Domingue

Val Domingue

Little League® International mourns the passing of Val Domingue, Louisiana District 1 Administrator. He was 76.

Mr. Domingue, a native of Lafayette, La., was a founding member of the Lafayette Little League program beginning in 1989, and served in a variety of volunteer roles prior to his election as Louisiana District 1 Administrator in 1997. He was also Little League’s Louisiana State Coordinator; and from 2004-to-2007, represented the Southwestern Region, as a member of the Little League International Board of Directors.

“Val was one of our most effective and valued Little League volunteer leaders and, more importantly, he was one of the finest people I’ve known in my nearly 40 years with Little League International,” said Stephen D. Keener, Little League President and CEO. “We will miss him dearly.”

An Army veteran, Mr. Domingue was associated with the Construction Specifiers Institute; and was employed by Architectural Windows and Doors and Millwork in Lafayette.

Mr. Domingue is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gyneth Gerac Domingue; his children, Pamela D. Biessenberger, and Jonathan P. Domingue; grandchildren, Joshua Hidalgo, Gannon Domingue and Jordan Domingue, Brandon Biessenberger, Courtney Lopez, and Drake Biessenberger; his sisters, Leora Fuselier and Lucille Hebert; and his brother, Jack Domingue. He was predeceased by his parents, Valrie Domingue, Sr. and Anna Verret Domingue; and his brothers, William Domingue and Robley Domingue, Sr.
