2019 Little League Baseball World Series – August 15 – 25

Southwest Shuts Out Midwest in Four Innings, 10-0

Eastbank (La.) Little League defeated Coon Rapids (Minn.) Little League, 10-0, as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout, leading Louisiana to their second Little League Baseball® World Series victory.

The Southwest Region Champions got its offense going in the first inning, with the team tallying three runs to take an early lead. In the third inning, Eastbank Little League scored two more before putting up five in the fourth inning to end the game via the 10-run rule.

Marshall Louque started on the mound for Louisiana, pitching for three innings before William Andrade came in to close out the game. Together, they tallied five strikeouts, one walk, and let up only two hits.

LLBWS Tournament

Minnesota started Drew Law on the mound before putting in Carson Timm. Brett Buettner came in during the final inning to finish out the game. The three pitchers combined to strike out four, walk four, and allow 11 hits.

Southwest will continue on in the Little League Baseball World Series, playing again on Wednesday, August 21 at 11 a.m. in Lamade Stadium. They will face the winner of Game 18 between Mid-Atlantic and New England.
