2019 Little League Baseball World Series – August 15 – 25

Southwest Powers Past Southeast Into United States Championship, 10-0

Eastbank (La.) Little League’s Marshall Louque was brilliant on the mound, no hitting Loudoun South (Va.) Little League in an impressive 10-0 triumph for the Southwest Region in the United States semifinal at Howard J. Lamade Stadium.

After a scoreless first two innings, Louisiana struck first, scoring one run in the bottom of the third. They continued to tally more runs, adding on seven in the fourth inning after Reece Roussel hit a grand slam. With two more runs in the fifth, they ended the game via the 10-run rule.

Louque pitched the entire game for Southwest, striking out eight, walking one and allowing no hits. His defense behind him was strong, allowing only one error.

LLBWS Tournament

Justin Lee started on the mound for Southeast, throwing three innings, striking out five and walking two before Chase Obstgarten came in to close out the game. Chase struck out one and walked one. Together, the two pitchers let up 13 hits.

Southwest will play in the Little League Baseball® World Series United States Championship on Saturday, August 24 at 3:30 pm in Lamade Stadium against the West Region Champions.
