2019 Little League Baseball World Series – August 15 – 25

New Jersey Advances to Williamsport, Wins Little League Baseball® Mid-Atlantic Regional

New York-Haverstraw LL fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 19-4 loss to New Jersey-Elmora Youth LL on Saturday. New Jersey-Elmora Youth LL scored on a single by Yadi Mateo and a single by Jayden Capindica in the first inning.

The New York-Haverstraw LL struggled to contain the high-powered offense of New Jersey-Elmora Youth LL, giving up 19 runs.

In the first inning, New Jersey-Elmora Youth LL got their offense started when Yadi singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

New York-Haverstraw LL put up three runs in the third inning. Jeff Diaz and Gabriel Reyes each had RBIs in the frame.

Mid-Atlantic Region Tournament Results

New Jersey-Elmora Youth LL scored eight runs in the sixth inning. The offensive firepower by New Jersey-Elmora Youth LL was led by J.R. Rosado, Jayden, Derek Escobar, Yamil Soto, and Joel Sanchez, all driving in runs in the inning.

J.R. pitched New Jersey-Elmora Youth LL to victory. He allowed three hits and four runs over four and a third innings, striking out 11. Yadi threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Jaden Quezada took the loss for New York-Haverstraw LL. He went one inning, allowing three runs on four hits and striking out one.
Nick Becker, Jeff, and Gabriel all had one hit to lead New York-Haverstraw LL.

New Jersey-Elmora Youth LL collected 20 hits on the day. J.R., Yamil, Joel, Sal Garcia, Jayden, Yadi, and Derek all managed multiple hits for New Jersey-Elmora Youth LL. J.R. went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead New Jersey-Elmora Youth LL in hits.
