2019 Little League Baseball World Series – August 15 – 25

Na Powers Asia-Pacific Region to 10-3 Win Over Latin America Champions

Jinwon Na drove in five runs and scored four for Chung Nam (b) Little League in a 10-3 triumph over Cacique Mara Little League, Friday afternoon at Little League Volunteer Stadium.

Claiming an early lead, Chung Nam (B) Little League, representing the Asia-Pacifc Region, scored one run in the first inning following a single by Been Hyun. They continued to pull away with three runs in the third, fourth, and fifth innings.

Allowing only three runs and two hits, Asia-Pacific’s defense was stout. Na started the game, striking out one on the mound and hitting Asia Pacific’s first home run of the series. Suho Yang followed Jinwan, allowing only one hit before the game was concluded by Gibeom Jung, also allowing only one hit and striking out three.

LLBWS Tournament

Cacique Mara Little League from Venezuela, representing the Latin America region, scored its three runs after hits from Luis Atencio and Davirik Fuenmayor. Latin America also threw three pitchers, Moisés Concho, Ibrahim Ruiz, and Randy Soto, who combined to allow nine hits and one walk.

The Asia-Pacific Region champs will continue their Little League Baseball World Series on Sunday, August 18 against the Caribbean region at 9 a.m. in Volunteer Stadium. Latin America will next face Australia on Saturday, August 17 at 1 p.m. in Volunteer Stadium.
