WEBB CITY LITTLE LEAGUE FROM WEBB CITY, MISSOURI WINS MIDWEST REGION, ADVANCES TO LITTLE LEAGUE® WORLD SERIES

An impressive two-way performance from Cale McCallister led Missouri-Webb City LL to a 10-0 win Saturday over Minnesota-Coon Rapids Cardinal LL, as McCallister came up huge at the dish and on the bump.

McCallister put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for Missouri’s Webb City LL. He singled in the first inning, homered in the second inning, and doubled in the fourth inning.

Missouri’s McCallister kept Coon Rapids Cardinal LL from Minnesota off the scoreboard for all four innings he was on the rubber. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on four hits while striking out three.

Seven runs in the first three innings helped Webb City LL get past a talented Coon Rapids team, whose offense was sparked by Smith and McCallister, who teamed up for five hits and three RBIs.
