RED LAND LITTLE LEAGUE FROM LEWISBERRY, PENNSYLVANIA WINS MID-ATLANTIC REGION, ADVANCES TO LITTLE LEAGUE® WORLD SERIES

Cole Wagner held New Jersey scoreless for six innings to boost Pennsylvania to a 12-0 victory.

Wagner, stellar throughout the tournament, struck out eight and allowed no walks and eight hits.

Everything was working at the plate for the Pennsylvania team from Red Land LL in the sixth. Pennsylvania’s bats caught fire leading to eight runs on a two-run double by Ethan Phillips, a two-run home run by Chayton Krauss, a fielder’s choice, a fielder’s choice, and a two-run double by Jaden Henline.

Henline racked up three RBIs on four hits for Red Land LL.

New Jersey’s Jackson Township LL kept it close through five innings. Sean Slusak pitched 3 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out four, and allowed just three runs from an offense that has put up impressive numbers all Little League Tournament Season.

Red Land Little League finished the 2015 Little League Baseball Mid-Atlantic Region Tournament with a 3-0 record. The Mid-Atlantic Region Champion will face off against the Midwest Region Champion in the first round of the Little League Baseball World Series on Friday, Aug. 21, at 8 p.m., at Lamade Stadium. The Midwest Region Championship was won by Webb City Little League from Webb City, Missouri. For more information on the Midwest Region Tournament, click here. Over the course of 10 days, 32 games will be played in the Little League Baseball World Series, concluding with the Little League Baseball World Series Championship Game, which is scheduled for 3 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 30.
