PEARLAND WEST LITTLE LEAGUE FROM PEARLAND, TEXAS WINS SOUTHWEST REGION, ADVANCES TO LITTLE LEAGUE® WORLD SERIES

Pearland West LL scored four runs in the fourth and was sharp from the mound to win the Southwest Region Championship, beating North Boulder Little League from Boulder, Colo.

Carter Ostrom racked up two RBI on two hits for the team from Texas, and pitcher Isaac Garcia held North Boulder hitless over the final 2 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none, and struck out four.

Jarrett Tadlock recorded the win for Pearland West LL. He allowed two runs over 3 1/3 innings. Tadlock struck out two, walked none, and gave up seven hits.

Pearland West LL jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, after scoring two runs in the second, and never looked back. This is the third trip to Williamsport for a team from Pearland, Texas. Last year, Pearland East LL competed in the Little League Baseball World Series as the Southwest Region Champion.

The Southwest Region Champion will face off against the Northwest Region Champion in the first round of the Little League Baseball World Series on Thursday, Aug. 20, at 3 p.m., at Lamade Stadium. The Northwest Region Championship is scheduled to take place on Saturday, Aug. 16. For more information on the Northwest Region Tournament, click here. Over the course of 10 days, 32 games will be played in the Little League Baseball World Series, concluding with the Little League Baseball World Series Championship Game, which is scheduled for 3 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 30.
