Little League® International mourns the passing of Peter Vardakas, former Pennsylvania Assistant District 22 Administrator.
Mr. Vardakas, a resident of Plymouth Township, Pa., was a coach, and later President of Plymouth (Pa.) Little League. He volunteered as a Pennsylvania District 22 Assistant District Administrator and an assistant tournament director for many years. In total, he dedicated more than 50 years of service to the Little League Baseball and Softball program.
Involved in Plymouth Township sports for many years, Mr. Vardakas served as a referee, coach, and administrator for the Plymouth area’s Youth Basketball Program, serving as President for 17 years.
Mr. Vardakas is survived by his wife, Josephine; sons, George, Keith, Peter, and Doug; and daughter, Catherine; four grandchildren and one great-grand child. He was predeceased by his son, John.
