Little League® International Remembers Former New York District 4 Administrator Ken Kampff

Little League® International mourns the passing of Ken Kampff, former New District 4 Administrator and one-time President of Eastside Little League in Rochester, N.Y. He was 89.

Mr. Kampff, a resident of Rochester, was elected as a District Administrator (D.A.) in 1973. He served in that capacity for more than three decades, receiving his 35-year service pin at the 24th Little League International Congress in Houston (April, 2007).

Beginning his volunteer work with Little League nearly 50 years ago, Mr. Kampff oversaw the expansion of local Little Leagues throughout the district, and was instrumental in getting Tryon Park built for the Eastside Little League program. He also assisted in the chartering and development of the District’s Little League Challenger Division®.

Proud to have served in the United States Marine Corp, Mr. Kampff was present at the battle of Iwo Jima during World War II.

Mr. Kampff was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Alice. He is survived by sons, Ray and Ron; grandchildren, Gretchen Dickinson, Adam, Danny, and Doug; and seven great grandchildren.
