Little League® International Honors the Memory of Donald Jordan, Former New York District 2 Administrator

Little League® International mourns the passing of Donald Jordan, former New York District 2 Administrator. He was 72.

Mr. Jordan, a native of Olean, N.Y., resided in Portville, N.Y., at the time of death. A 1966 graduate of Portville Central High School and Jamestown Community College (JCC) in Olean, Mr. Jordan put his JCC Business Administration degree to good use, working for McGraw-Edison, Dresser Industries, PC Laboratories, and BOCES. Following his 2015 retirement from BOCES, he contributed as a part-time educator in the Portville Central School district.

Coaching Tee Ball was how Mr. Jordan begin his 35 years of service to the Little League program. In subsequent seasons, he served as President of Portville Little League, and later was elected as New York District 2 Administrator. Mr. Jordan had the distinction of umpiring in the 2015 Big League Softball World Series; and for 15 years was an usher during the Little League Baseball® World Series played in Williamsport, Pa.

Mr. Jordan is survived by his wife, Annette; son, Matthew; and daughter, April; brothers, Tom, Ken, and Neil; sister Kathy; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; and three great-great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Alvin and Mary Jordan; brother, Wayne; and niece, Kimberly.
