Another ticket to the 2026 Little League Baseball® World Series, Presented by T-Mobile (LLBWS), has officially been punched as Ministerio Sobre Las Alas Del Aguila Little League (Leon, Nicaragua) emerged victorious over Santiago Oriente Little League (Santiago, Chile) 3-1 in the Latin America Region Tournament championship game.
Nicaragua earned its Region title with a 7-0 overall record in the event, marking the league’s first trip to Williamsport and only the fourth trip for the country (1968, 1970, 2022). Nicaragua, represented by 14 de Septiembre Little League, finished its last trip to Williamsport with a 3-2 overall record at the World Series, falling to the International Champions from the Caribbean.
Ministerio Sobre Las Alas Del Aguila Little League will begin the 2026 LLBWS on Wednesday, August 19, at 1 p.m. ET against the Caribbean Region, on ESPN, marking the first game of this year’s tournament.
