2019 Senior League Softball World Series: July 29 – August 4

Quarter Final Recaps:

Game 21: (Host vs Southeast) DE District 3 scored 3 runs in the 3rd, then held on as Jada Evans pitched a complete game, scattering 5 hits and striking out 7. She also drove in a run, Aryanna Briddell also had a 2 run double. Southeast scored one run in the 3rd, and one in the 7th, but Evans shut them down and District 3 is on to the Semifinal to face still undefeated Central.

Game 22: (Southwest vs Canada) Southwest came from behind to catch Canada for the 6-3 win, knocking the team from British Columbia out of the semi’s. Southwest will play in the late Semifinal game on Saturday.

Game 23: (Central vs East) Allyssa Beaam struck out 5 and didn’t allow a run in relief as Central came from behind, took a comfortable lead, then had to hold off a comeback by a stubborn East team 7-5. Paige Stroster and Ashlyn Strick both homered for Central who advanced their record to 5-0 and will face the Host team District 3 in the first Semifinal game Saturday.

Game 24: (West vs Asia-Pacific) The game was a see-saw battle at first, until the 5th when tied 1-1, Asia Pacific scored 3 runs to take the lead then scored 2 more in the 6th to advance to the the 2nd Semifinal game at 8 PM against Southwest. The defending World Series Champs from the Philippines are still in the hunt for a repeat.
