2019 Senior League Baseball World Series: July 27 – August 3

Hawaii defeats Curacao, 11-0; Wins Senior League Baseball World Series Title

The Caribbean Region watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in an 11-0 loss to the West Region on Saturday. West scored on a single by Isaiah Souza and a stolen base by Bennett Zeigler-Namoa in the first inning.

The Caribbean Region struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing the West Region, giving up 11 runs.

SLBWS Tournament

The West Region got on the board in the first inning. Souza singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

One bright spot for the Caribbean Region was a single by Jaedon Carrega in the fourth inning.

Lee Souza earned the victory on the mound for the West Region. He lasted six innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out five and walking one.

Egory Manuela took the loss for the Caribbean Region. He surrendered five runs on two hits over one inning, striking out one.

Carrega led the Caribbean Region with one hit in three at bats.

The West Region tallied 11 hits in the game. Makane Honokaupu and Dylan Kokubun each managed multiple hits. Honokaupu went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the West Region in hits.
