It is a week of classroom and on the field training that delves into rules knowledge, mechanics, umpiring philosophy and game management. Includes training materials, dormitory style housing and all meals. Umpire gear is required (a very limited supply of equipment to borrow is available). First established in 2012, the Little League® Region Roundtables provide an opportunity for District Administrators (D.A.s) and Assistant District Administrators (A.D.A.s) to gather in their respective region, and to participate in educational sessions, rules and regulations discussions, International Board of Director elections, and more. Southeast Umpire Mechanics Clinic 1.0
About Clinic During Umpire Mechanics Clinic 1.0, attendees will receive instruction on the two-umpire system, which includes field mechanics, plate mechanics and game management principles. Attendees during the weekend will be able to gain skills and knowledge to enable the umpire to be proficient in the two-umpire system. Ideal for both the novice and experienced umpire, the clinic will provide participants with first-class instruction on the rationale and components of the approved Little League plate mechanics including stances, signaling and footwork. Additionally, the clinic will have a series of breakout sessions where participants will be asked to practice their skills under the watchful eyes of East Regional Umpire Staff.…
