The City of Greenville, North Carolina is thrilled to be the new home of the Little League Softball® World Series.  Greenville, is located in the heart of Eastern North Carolina, about 90 minutes east of Raleigh and 90 minutes west of the Atlantic coast.  This bustling city will serve as an excellent host to some of the world’s best Little League Softball® players.

Greenville, which has a population of about 94,000, is home to East Carolina University (ECU) which has an enrollment of just under 29,000.  Greenville is North Carolina’s eleventh largest city and is home to Vidant Medical Center which is the state’s fifth largest hospital.

Stallings Stadium at Elm Street Park will be the host site for all of the competition.  Located just off of the eastern edge of ECU’s campus and just a 10 minute drive from the host hotels Stallings Stadium will serve as an excellent venue for the Little League Softball® World Series.  Opening in 2012 Stallings Stadium offers covered seating with 234 chairback seats and a 40 foot long climate controlled press box with a separate area for television broadcasts.  Beyond the right field fence there are two spectator decks, 200 bleacher seats, and a small picnic area.  There is also an ample amount of standing room down both the right and left field lines. Other things one will find at Stallings Stadium are a World Series Souvenir Shop, Concessions, and two sets of restrooms, all in close proximity to the playing field.

There are over 500 free parking spaces located within a 5 minute walk to the stadium with additional parking located within a 10 minute walk. Handicapped parking will be available in the Drew Steele Center lot adjacent to Stallings Stadium.

The playing area is equipped with two scoreboards, a digital message center, and a video board.  A MUSCO lighting system, bullpens, and below ground dugouts round out the amenities on the field.  The outfield fence is 4 feet high (1.22 meters) and 200 feet (61 meters) from home plate.  Each year, prior to the World Series, Stallings Stadium’s infield grass will be removed and the field will be transformed in to a championship caliber softball field.
