Asia-Pacific defeated Southwest 2-0 on Sunday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Shui-Hsun Li got Cameron Jackson to hit into a fielder’s choice to finish off the game.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Asia-Pacific pitchers struck out six, while Azael Hinojosa sat down one.
A double by Christian Mumphery in the second inning was a positive for Southwest.
Kuan Lun Huang was credited with the victory for Asia-Pacific. He allowed five hits and zero runs over six and two-thirds innings, striking out six and walking one. Li threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen. Li recorded the last out to earn the save for Asia-Pacific.

Hinojosa took the loss for Southwest. He allowed nine hits and two runs over six innings, striking out one and walking zero.
Asia-Pacific smacked one home run on the day. Huang put one out in the fifth inning.
Huang went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Asia-Pacific in hits. Asia-Pacific didn’t commit a single error in the field. Tung-Han Lu had the most chances in the field with six.
Southwest didn’t commit a single error in the field. Sam Flores had five chances in the field, the most on the team.
