2018 Little League Baseball World Series – August 16 – 26

Puerto Rico Defeats Canada Behind a Nine-Run Effort

In the first inning, Caribbean got their offense started when Carlos De Jesus hit a solo homer.

Caribbean took the lead for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third John Lopez singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run, Eric Rodriguez doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs, and Roberto Joubert singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

LLBWS Tournament

Eric was the winning pitcher for Caribbean. He went four and a third innings, allowing two runs on three hits and striking out six. Yadiel Delgado threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen. Yadiel recorded the last two outs to earn the save for Caribbean.

Jordan Jaramillo took the loss for Canada. He lasted four and two-thirds innings, allowing eight hits and seven runs while striking out six.

Luis A. Rivera started the game for Caribbean. He allowed two hits and two runs over one inning, striking out one and walking one.

Canada racked up five hits in the game. Nate Colina and Dio Gama all managed multiple hits for Canada. Dio and Nate all had two hits to lead Canada.

Carlos went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Caribbean in hits.
