SUMMARY:Little League Umpire Academy - Warner Robins\, GA #2
DESCRIPTION:The Little League Umpire Academy is an extended umpire training event providing a comprehensive\, jam-packed\, hands-on\, and engaging study and application of the Little League Rules\, Plate Mechanics\, Base Mechanics\, and the fundamentals of Working the 2-Umpire System. This training event is open to umpires ages 18 and older. \nTraining materials and meals will be provided for all attending umpires\, but umpires will be responsible for making their own lodging arrangements. Umpires will receive dinner Tuesday-Saturday evenings\, and lunch on Wedensday-Saturday afternoons. \nAdditionally\, umpires are required to bring all umpire equipment and gear and are strongly urged to dress as an umpire during all sessions unless communicated otherwise by the training staff. Umpires should also bring a glove with them for cage work\, drills\, and simulations throughout the event. \nBecause of the potential for umpires to umpire live games during this training event\, all attending umpires will be required to complete a background check on the Umpire Registry for $5.00 in addition to completing the Abuse Awareness Training via USA Baseball and SafeSport. Attendees will be required to provide a copy of the certificate indicating completion of this Abuse Awareness Training prior to participating in the training event. \nCompletion of the Abuse Awareness Training is free and can be done by following this link: https://usabdevelops.com/page/4824/education. Please click “EDUCATION\,” then select “COURSES\,” complete the “Abuse Awareness for Adults” + “Enroll” and then “Go to Course.” Be sure to complete the course and download the certificate at the course’s completion to provide to training staff prior to the event. \nWhether new to the umpiring ranks or many years of experience\, our Academies will ensure you have the most current\, up-to-date\, and approved mechanics and rules knowledge to elevate your game.
