SUMMARY:Southeast Umpire Mechanics Clinic 2.0
DESCRIPTION:About Clinic\nDuring Umpire Mechanics Clinic 2.0\, attendees will receive expanded instruction on the two-umpire and four-umpire systems\, which will focus on situational awareness\, detailed mechanics\, and advance strike zone management. Attendees during the weekend will be able to advance their skills and knowledge to allow the umpire to continue to progress through the Little League umpire system. \nUmpire Mechanics 2.0 is best suited for umpires who have previously attended Little League clinics\, including Umpire Academy (School) and multiple weekend clinics. Umpires will need to possess a good to strong understanding and knowledge of Little League mechanics and rules in advance of the clinic. Basics and introductions will not be covered in the clinic and advance studying may be necessary. \nLittle League Umpire ID Camp invitees will be identified from those who attend both Mechanics 1.0 and 2.0 clinics\, as well as Academy students and Region Tournament appointees along with other additional criteria. \nSample Agenda Items\n\n\nThe two-umpire system in greater details\n\nAngles\nFootwork\nDecision making\n\n\n\nThe essentials of the four-umpire system\n\nVarious rotations and responsibilities\nProper positioning\nGood communication\n\n\n\nPlate work\n\nUnderstanding the strike zone\nRecognizing what is a strike and what isn’t\nCalling actual pitches\n\n\n\nIn-depth discussion on interference as well as types of obstruction\n\n\nComprehensive conversations on handling situations\n\n\nRegistration & Price\nClinic Registration \n$50 (plus fees) per person.
